Synopsis and Characters

This is the sequel to "Daily Little Girl Misaki-chan!"

While the first part was a story centered on the protagonist's growth, this sequel will focus primarily on romance. Because of that, I have split it into parts, as I understand some readers might not be fond of that genre.

Looking back now that it's completed, I feel like there wasn't really a need to split it (whispers), but oh well.

Below is a summary of the previous work's synopsis and characters.

Synopsis

Tendo Ryousei (23), a man living at the very bottom of society, is approached by an old friend. She dumps her daughter, Misaki (5), on him and flees the scene.

Having decided to raise Misaki, Ryousei struggles while striving to become a proper parent.

While Ryousei approaches his goal with the help of many people, he finds himself unable to think positively of himself due to past trauma.

What ultimately saves Ryousei are his friends and the birthday present Misaki prepared for him.

Main Characters (Descriptions based on the final chapter of the previous work; listed roughly in order of appearance)

Tendo Ryousei (25)

　The protagonist of this story. He is a man of unusually tall stature for a Japanese person, but because he has feminine facial features, he is frequently mistaken for a woman. His constitution, which prevents him from even growing facial hair, might be one of the reasons why.

　Due to certain circumstances, he once spent his days drowning in alcohol, cigarettes, and gambling, but meeting Misaki allowed him to move forward. He now works at Wazaki Yuuto's company.

　"Misaki! Ryo-kun bought some cake!"

Tosaki Misaki (6) (First Grade)

　Misaki-chan.
　A quiet girl due to certain circumstances. In reality, she is very clingy and emotionally expressive.

　She calls Ryousei "Ryo-kun."
　If asked who's her father, she answers "Ryo-kun."
　If asked who's her older brother, she answers "Ryo-kun."
　If asked who's her older sister, she gets a little grumpy and answers "Ryo-kun!"

　Despite her very short stature, her athletic abilities are high thanks to Ryousei's training, and she possesses intelligence and learning capabilities that far exceed those of a typical elementary schooler. She is a bit self-conscious about her height, which is why she loves to eat. But she loves Ryo-kun even more.

　"...Hm?"

Kohinata Mayumi (23)

　A woman living in the apartment next to Ryousei's.

　She has an approachable aura and often consults Ryousei on various matters. She is on good terms with Misaki, and the two of them look much like mother and daughter.

　She is more modest than average in certain areas, and has slightly long, straight hair. Ryousei has complimented her on having beautiful skin. She is nearsighted and wears glasses, though she decides whether or not to wear them based on her mood that day.

　She is a doujin artist known by the moniker "God of Deviant Doujinshi," though lately, she has been drawing manga with content safe enough to show to children.

　"Fuhihi, it's Tendo-san's voice... Huh? Wait, ahe...!? It froze!? No way, I didn't save it!!"

　Tosaki Yui (24)

　Ryousei's friend.

　She has long limbs and refined features. She always maintains good posture and a poised demeanor that suggests a high-class upbringing.

　While those around her perceive her as a strict individual, she is soft on her daughter and is actually quite childish at heart.

　She excels at reading people's emotions; according to her, she "sees colors."
　In her professional life, she uses this ability to achieve sales results so high she is nicknamed the "Witch." However, she has paid a corresponding price, and her past is a harrowing one.

　Yui had only one friend, and only for a brief time. Even after more than ten years, she still remembers him and has been in love with him all this time.

　Furthermore, Yui is Misaki's mother on paper, and she owes Ryousei a massive favor.

　"You finally picked up. Honestly, what's the point of having a cell phone? I thought for sure it would be only from me... oh, it's just voicemail!"

Tosaki Yui (7) (First Grade)

Misaki's friend.
　Yui's daughter, and a very energetic girl.

　She is good at the piano, and perhaps because she was born in April, she is quite tall for a first grader. She has a small mole under her right eye and wears her hair in adorable twin tails.

　Because she studied hard to compete with Misaki, she has the academic ability of a fifth grader. She dislikes physical activity.

　"Fshaaaaaaa—!"

Aniki (??)

　The manager of the privately owned eatery, KOY. His true identity is shrouded in mystery, but Ryousei refers to him as "Aniki" in his mind. His relationship with Ryousei began as manager and short-term part-timer, but they have since become close, long-standing friends.

　"Welcome! ☆"

Wazaki Yuuto (25)

　The president of SDS.
　He attended the same junior high school as Ryousei.
　A lolicon.

　"Listen, Tendo Ryousei, never forget that the world revolves around little girls."

Moriya Akane (22)

　The heir to the factory where Ryousei used to work.

　At the time, she and Ryousei were as close as family, but they were separated by a certain incident. However, they reunited through work, and after discussing their pasts, they are able to speak as they once did.

　She has a physique that is unusually striking for a Japanese person, and she dyes her hair—which reaches down to the middle of her back—blonde. She is actually half-Nordic with a Nordic mother, though she is unaware of this.

　She now serves as the head of her own factory.

　"Ryousei is my hero."

Nanamori Rumi (7) (First Grade)

　A friend of Yui and Misaki.
　Her dream is to be a top idol!
　To sell a million copies of a CD that doesn't even come with handshake tickets!

　"Rumimi~☆ It's Rumi-rumi!"
